Iowa State Fans
We went for a walk tonight.
Oliver was set on finding a haunted maze somewhere in our neighborhood, so we wandered around the neighborhood for a while.
Eventually, we saw a house with a Hawkeye decoration sitting in the garden, out front. When I pointed it out to Oliver, he gasped and declared, “FIGHT THEM.”
…
We did not fight them, but it was amusing.
…
A short while later, he pointed to another house and said, “THEY must be Iowa State Fans!”
Confused, I asked which house he was pointing to.
He pointed again, and said, “Them. They have like 10 United States flags.”
So it seems that American patriotism is synonymous with an appreciation for Iowa State U.
